Apprentice armbadge?
I bought this badge today, I think it's an RAF rank badge.
Thoughts appreciated. Rob |

Apprentices often made pieces like this to demonstrate their skills. Not sure where or if it would actually have been worn.
Interesting item. |

Hi, this puts me in mind of our trade instuctors at RAF St Athans, they wore dust coats have seen white (Machine shop & Shetmetalwork) Brown (Welding, and Ground Equipment) generally rank was on 4 inch arm-band and sometimes metal rank similar to that shown up to Sgt, yours purports to be that of Chief Technician, (above a Sgt but not quite a Flt Sgt) Technical trade rank, worn on these as when sent to cleaning never the same ones came back. All the best billy
