Just remembered also that on our hats floppy which D&D wore on exercises in Libya we wore a green square with diagonal orange stripe instead of cap badge.

Just read this post do has quite a large number of photos of the band which I took , also some showing the R.M police arm brassards
Also have a beret with sliver anodised badge
