Default 1914 OWS badges

Posted these some months back but would be keen to know if any "fresh eyes" can add anything to their slightly unusual style.

The 1914 Admiralty has obviously just been "framed" so that it doesn't need to be worn with a half-moon clip but what of the other badge?

I don't think its ivory and possibly what was called ivorine back in the day. I know that many aircraft of the period used this type of material to identify their switches/ gauges/ how to fly the craft so....

Thoughts as always appreciated!
