Wessex Gaunt London
Picked up today, nicely marked on the slider and on the back JR GAUNT LONDON
I assume a good one and it has traces of a gold wash that has worn away. thanks for any help or comments.

Jerry,
it is genuine but rubbed to death, a common badge and probably worth pennies in that condition? Andy |

Thanks Andy, it was a few £'s rather than pennies, but no worries.

With that mark I think you can safely state that it is 1958-68 regular Wessex bde rather then the identical but later Wessex Regt TA.

I had assumed with Gaunt London it would be the earlier badge for the brigade rather than regiment so good to get that confirmed. It was part of a group I bought, at least all seem to be real so far, so not a bad day.

Thanks Chris. With this one, double marked and all I was sure it was a good one. I am only slowly getting into these in a small way so not at all up on them.
