2 QVC ROYAL ARMS BADGES
Can anyone throw any light on these two badges please? Both are QVC Royal arms, brass with 2 copper lugs (E/W).
!) Die stamped with "Ubique" motto at the bottom which suggests RA or RE. I thought it might be the device from an (officers?) belt buckle but would such a device have lug attachments? 2) crudely cast with unusual diamond-shape central shield. Any info much appreciated. |

1st one is a RE/RA belt buckle badge, I think.

David,
Woluld agree on the RE belt buckle up to a point in that I am fortunate in having one, but the fixings on the back of mine are north/south and also not lugs/loops#1. Not sure whether the RA buckle is the only one with the 'Ubique' as I have seen this on RE devices as well.... #1 not sure whether this is significant or not. |

Hi chaps,
many thanks for the replies, nice buckle! it's interesting to see the fixings on the back-not the same as mine,as you say. chances are it is a RA or RE belt buckle badge but the lugs still bother me a bit. David |

Hi David
Many thanks for sending the measurements, the dimensions of my badge are virtually identical. The lugs are almost certainly original and there is nothing to suggest any fixings were attached N/S I can only assume some buckles were produced to accomodate a badge like mine. Perhaps the RA had one version and the RE the other. Thanks again! David |
