I can confirm that this most definately is ONE - PIECE. I have one (fortunately in good condition). It is distinctive in that the scroll is uneven - short on the left. It is made this way and not crushed in any way (although the crown on the example shown clearly is). The nearest I can find as stated above is the wide Marples and Beasley slider - however, Marples anodised badge sliders tend to gently curve over at the neck, this badge has a defined bend at the neck (if you see what I mean). Th slidewr is unmarked with any makers name or design. Its is however definately a Queens Crown example. For what its worth, I've never seen a Kings Crown example and I would echo much as stated above by Mr Mulcahey and Chris. Regards all Bess |

I also have a one piece annodised RAOC by JR Gaunt in both London & B'Ham with the shield seemingly painted in? as well as collar badges. I also have a one piece RAOC in all silver.

Only anodised cap badges that are found in both two part AND single part construction that I have, are the following off the top of my head:-
Royal Engineers Royal Army Dental Corps Royal Army Ordnance Corps REME Duke of Wellingtons Regt (West Riding) There are of course numerous examples of one - piece and two - piece construction anodised collar badges . . . . but that is a totally differant kettle of fish! |
