A Strange Grove MFG badge

Just had a first pattern Grove MFG Bham ACC come in the post.Made in the normal Grove way but rather than brass the slider appears to be a white metal.Anybody else come across any others like it ?

Hi Mike,
Yes, I have one too! Grove M.F.G also made a white metal (possibly nickel) slidered badge for the Parachute Regt as well.

T&S also made a/a badges with both brass & white metal sliders.
