Default Westminster Dragoons

A nice wartime family group of a Corporal of the Regiment with his wife and baby.

The Corporal wears the sign of 79th Armoured Division - in which the regiment crewed Sherman Crab flail tanks - the RTR tank - possibly the printed version -
and the regiment's NCOs' metal arm badge. His wife is wearing the regimental badge as a brooch.

Superbly evocative picture Jon, caused a lump in my throat, as it bespeaks a time of great uncertainty for young families like that. I wonder if he made it through, do you know?

As you say very evocative.

Sadly I have no further details on him as the photo was an Ebay find.

Thank you. What a pity we don’t know the name, it would have been possible to trace them.
