After all that info I have just found another one online down here in SA for a decent price so I snapped it up, could you please look this one up too, hopefully the records are still available!

8674 was Assistant Forewoman Elizabeth Goode. She served in France from 10th November 1917 until 7th July 1919. No other information available I'm afraid. It is my understanding that Forewoman and Assistant Forewoman were the equivalent of NCO ranks (the former being on a par with a Sgt and the latter a Corporal)

Hi,
While Alex waits for his badge to arrive, maybe Paul could take a look and see if mine is identifiable.

I have two with blades (one bronze, the other has had bronzing removed. Both by Bent and Parker and without number.

The numbered one is gilding metal with lugs. The number been 8863
