I suspect this badge is fake but could I get some opinions please.

I was looking at the patina being shiny on the front compared to the back, which kind of put me off and also I thought that the stock part of the gun was just a little longer than I could see on other examples, but that is why I put it up for view. Thank you guys for your comments, I bow to your superior knowledge.
