Default Dating Brecknockshire badge with scroll ribbons

This was on a dealers' website. Can any of the Welsh collectors put a date to this design variant? Looking at the mark it must be post WW2?

WW1 vintage as Brookies said.

That badge is ex-Bosley’s from a sale a number of months ago. I am very certain it has a replacement (and unfortunately far more modern) slider.

An example sold at C&T Auction on Wednesday 20th October 2021 , described as :

Quote:
Scarce WW1 All Brass Brecknockshire Territorial Battalion South Wales Borders Long Scroll Pattern Cap Badge, complete with its slider fitting to the reverse. This badge was part of the Hugh King collection.

Also found this "long scroll" sweetheart brooch on an Australian site.

Thank you all. I assume that this is before the other pattern was sealed in 1916. As Luke says the slider is likely to be a replacement if that is the case.

Evening all.

If you have a look at (all albums) The Brecknockshire Regiment photo 7 you will see the badge being worn.

I've just bought one of these long scroll badges and it has the distinct slider. I thought it best to buy when available as I have yet to form an idea of what is good or bad when looking at the shorter scroll badge.
I note though how the longer scroll is separately attached in a similar way to some short scroll versions that have caused some doubt on the forum. Is anyone comfortable to list good and bad points to look for with a short scroll version of the 1914-1918 period, or post images of short/standard length scroll badges of that period? Regards, Paul.
