Default RAAF cast cap badge

Hi all,

Won this badge from eBay and received it today. Any thoughts, can it be WW2 theatre made cast blackened example?

Thanks,

Timo

Looks like a sand cast made example to me. I was a bit concerned by the colour, as the badge looks silver & not brass or blackened, etc. in the photo but the detail to the reverse & the lugs all look sand cast attributes to me. Nice variant.

Best regards,
David
