Opinions on 29th Waterloo Regt & Royal Montreal Regiment badges

I would be grateful for opinions on these two badges, which recently picked-up.

Both with 'JR Gaunt London' maker marks/plates.

Any insights appreciated!

The 29 Waterloo Regt is a restrike with the added Gaunt plate. The R Mont Regt Gaunt plate is a well documented fake plate.

It confirms my concerns, as the price seemed too good.

Assume RMR badge as a whole is fake and not just plate itself?

Yes the R Montreal Regt badge is also a repro.
