Hi all,
I recently posted a thread regarding a possible RAF WWI eagle, it being a lighter shade than normal. Dave Parsons had one in his excellent PDF file book as a variant. There were no replies to my post but now I have acquired a couple of possible RAF Mechanic 1st Class (LAC) patches in a similar light colour. I have never seen the patches with a wool/felt background unless accredited to early RAF. I noted the 2 black thread lines on the propellers are from left to right on both my versions. They are also near identical in design. All subsequent later versions I have seen are right to left. Whether this is another indication of early use I am not sure. Any comments would be most appreciated. Regards, Graham |

I recommend you look through 'dragon166's' albums as he has a huge selection of variations.

Hi Alex,
Dragon166 was the late Dave Parsons. My reference to the lighter eagle is where that came from. Regards, Graham |
