Can anyone please identify the cap badge that these officers are wearing? The original photograph measures 3 inches by two inches and is not in great condition.

Thanks Chris,
I cannot find any reference to an officer called Manley or Marley in the Notts & Derbyshire Regiment though, assuming that he is in the photograph. |

Here is an OSD cap/collar badge for the Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derby) Regiment for comparison.

To me the officer on the right looks like he is wearing a Bedfordshire Reg OSD collar, Beds & Herts after WWI.

It is certainly early Great War as they are wearing cuff rank on their tunics. As there are so many officers close together in a trench they must be in a quiet sector or on a training ground. |
