I have an unusual Essex Regt badge that belongs to a friend who has asked me to find out more about it.
The badge appears to be an ordinary other ranks cap badge with a slider, the reverse has an OSD type finish and the sphinx and the title scroll are held on with pins, any ideas who made it and where? Is it an OSD that has been polished on the front despite having a slider? Regards Rob |

Luke,
Many thanks for your explanation about this badge, Birmingham Mint badges are one thing I avoided getting involved with, from the links you gave it is definitely the same. Rob |
