Can anyone help identify which lanyard, if any, would have been worn by an Officer in the Loyal Regiment around 1941?
I've looked through the various albums on the forum but to no avail. Thanks Tony.

Tony,
The only reference I have records that a khaki lanyard was worn by Warrant Officers. It might be that officers also wore a khaki ‘whistle cord’ with Service Dress and possibly Battle dress. These are difficult to discern from photographs. However, from this photograph of officers of the 1st Battalion at Aldershot in April 1939 it appears that some are wearing a whistle cord on the left shoulder. Tim

Tim thanks for your answer and photograph.
They certainly appear to be wearing, as you say, khaki whistle cord lanyards. Thanks Tony.
