Royal Marines - Cliff leader
Dear all, this badge of a Cliff Leader (Cliff Assault Instructor) has a Queen's crown on top. Yet, this qualification is already described in RMRO 228 of 1950. Did this badge also exist with a King's crown?

Quote:
RMRO 228 1950 - Sets out the basics of the qualification then...... RMRO 184 1951 - Gives more detail and notes at bottom state : (RMRO 228/50 is cancelled) RMRO 58 1953 - List the "Specialist Qualification" which is also covered in AFO 1422 May 1953 (Royal Marines- Specialist Qualifications for General Duty and Technical Branches). So , is it possible that the course/qualification although documented in 1950 didn't actually start until 1952/53 and therefore no King's crown badges were produced ? https://rmhistorical.com/files/content/SQ%20CL.pdf .
