Default Unidentified Badge

Seen in a local junk (?) shop - from the same source as a unit shield for a squadron of the Royal Netherlands Air Force - a heavy bronze (?) shield bearing a design I will describe - if there is an expert on Netherlands heraldry in the Forum. If anyone thinks they might be able to help please PM me. Thanks . Mike

The lettering on the bottom half is heraldically incorrect and would suggest a commercial company shield. The top half may be the arms of the town where they are from. Certainly not Dutch military.

Spoke to THEE Dutch military badges expert about this today and he doesn't recognise it either, so definitely not Dutch military.

When I get back home I'll have to photograph it and run it again. Mike
