East Lancashire TA Units 1947/48
This interesting list, which comes from a TA recruiting leaflet put out by the East Lancs TA Association, shows a remarkably large number of units of all arms within the area.
I wonder how long some of them lasted with the numerous cuts to the TA which began in 1950? Jon |

I bet half of those buildings arent standing anymore.
I used to drive past one in Tipton ,W.Mids, the building was basically a ruin and boarded up. It had the Stafford knot above the main entrance. The old drill hall in Walsall where my mate served still has the engraved stone with badge on above the Rileys snooker hall sign. |

I have more detailed info for West Lancs but can’t lay my hands on it at the moment.
