The sins of the past come to visit us again and again. Approximately twenty years ago, a badge dealer in the Ottawa area had many printed titles fabricated for resale. The phoney printed titles included several Quebec units, (Lévis, Régt de Quebec come to mind), Canadian Provost Corps, and this one, Irish Fusiliers among others made up. Note the "white" edge, the faded background colour, the dark lines around the lettering, and the coarse fabric, all signs of his reproductions.

Is this badge dealer still alive and present at the Ottawa show ????

No Jo, he died a few years ago, but I have heard that his stock is still being sold.

Wyn, I understand the opposite. When he died, the stock of the store was sent to auction, and most of the bogus material was destroyed. The phoney stuff that is out there was the material that was already moved into the collecting world. I think Mike Reintjes may have more information about this question.
