The badge appears to be from the fake die with the overly wide flat crown.

Here is an example with the stereotypical 15mm Gaunt . London mark.

Steve
Trying to be Darman Narborough of Lombard St BHam
Previously F Narborough - same address
A firm of Mace makers, who exemplified quality in their items over many years supplying regalia for Ceremonial, Band, Military and Civil bodies worldwide.
Lots of intricate items for Bagpipes as an example but a good amount of quality Silver items can be found with the FN and D&N marks with some to Scottish and Irish Regimental Bands
I’ve seen this mark previously and I’m very surprised that other Birmingham makers who had large WW1 contracts such as Vaughtons and Dingleys haven’t started showing up over the years

Paul is correct. According to the company website (AMMO & Co) they changed name to Dalman & Narborough in 1962 when Mr S.C. Dalman became Managing Director.

Clearly the name change date is also at odds with a KC badge.

The first Dalman connection was in 1925, when a nephew with the double barrelled name Dalman Narborough entered service with the company.
It’s likely because of this and before the official name change of the company that some items appear earlier that are marked D&N
