Default Merchiston Castle School

Can Forum members identify which badge would have been worn up to 1914 by the Merchiston Castle School, Edinburgh OTC. I have seen two, one voided the other solid.

Kind regards, Malcolm.

Malcolm

I have both and it has not been possible to date them. There is no record of which badge they wore that I can find for the WW1 period. The article from 1937 by EJ Martin does not have a picture and is not clear whether it is pierced or not. The pierced one is the scarcer to find.
