Default Battle of Britain Silver Enamelled Squadron Badges

Hi all!

Require some information on this Frame, I do have 2 singular and was over the moon to acquire this full set of Hallmarked Silver Squadron Badges.

This is without any Paperwork, Certificates nor a booklet describing each Squadron Crest, which I am sure must have accompanied these? Can these be reacquired perhaps? I am not acquainted to which Museum sold these and have not yet looked into the matter but Hendon comes to mind? as does Duxsford?

Anyone have a set of these? 3500 where produced (supposedly?) but it may be that this wasn’t the actual amount produced? I would like to know just how many actually where made though, but how to find out? By contacting the Museum if I can acquire it! I think!

Any information on this appreciated, many thanks Billy

Hi Billy,
done a quick Google, looks like they originated from the RAF Museum. You might get further information from them.

Yeah, many thanks I did find this link posted, and goes on to what I found on the Web! from there it goes in circles, does not mention the Museum? I will send out messages, selling at £800, wonder how these where sold as both I own are in individual blue boxes, one is mint the other damaged to front! Why I am so happy to acquire this set as have been looking out for individual items for some time! They are quite stunning, all the best and thanks Billy
