If SRR then the beret would be a very different shade to the SAS, a kindve grey with hint of green.
I have a SSR beret but not to hand to photo and compare.

Here's one of mine - only the very early ones (2005-2009 or there abouts) had the diamond liner. The more recent ones have a much smaller white square with the details printed on...

Still seems to be a QA beret, The teardrop on mine does look a darker red in less direct light.

Mine has a diamond and is made by Compton Webb.

Extracts are from the MOD clothing catalogue which was online a few years back for troops to order kit through the QM as a sort of ‘click and collect’ trial scheme. Like JSP768 as the source document it has plenty of errors, particularly with illustrations!

To me , it looks like the 'tear drop' is a later addition .

They are on the RAMC berets for pax attached to other units - either hand sewn by the user or machined by the unit tailor(ess).

That looks machine sewn and there is certainly a tailor on hand at Hereford - how else do they get their sideburns and fjallraven trousers to fit?

Could it be RAMC attached to Royal Scots Dragoon Guards. Saw this when attached to The Greys.
