Default welsh horse on lugs

I think I finally got a good one, even if it is a dug up example, on lugs

Hello Jerry,
That is a very interesting badge, examples with loops were certainly made and seem few and far between these days, I think there was a blackened, rather, than bronze, gilding metal version made with loops.
Where did this example come from?

I did a lot of searching on here and found at least 3 or 4 examples with lugs to which it seems to be identical.

It was bought from ebay, the seller is based in county down.

It's a good original. If the lugged version is of cap badge size then I suggest that it may well be an Officer's cap badge. PY. .

they look good Denis. Not sure I agree on the brooched example being made that way, but I am sure in the hand you must have a better view.

I have yet to find a genuine on a slider example for my collection
