Royal Scots Greys and Royal Armoured Corps
How do these badges look?
I’ve read a great deal about the Royal Scots Greys on this forum. It’s a heavily faked badge and some of them are very good. I don’t remember reading about that second “O” in Waterloo being out of line with the first “O.” This Royal Armoured Corps badge does not have voiding where the large and small pincers are attached (3 and 9 o’clock) which doesn’t seem to be case with most of these badges. |

I don't like the RSG.
Not sure about the RAC. Cheers. Alex |

Thanks for the confirmation on the RSG badge. Every badge I bought from that place was fake. Unfortunately, it was 40 years ago.

Not absolutely sure the RSG is fake. It has the uneven wings which are good sign and good brassy brazing, but as can be seen, poor definition from on the reverse. It still might be a WW2ish example as they were often not very good quality. But of course I could be completely wrong as is all too often!

Is the RAC badge an especially tough one to make a decision about? |

For my 2c, good or bad, I don't particularly like it and if mine, I would always have doubts about it. I'd rather get one which I was 100% happy with.
