Default Pembroke Yeomanry, good or bad?

Hello,
Just taken a photo of this PY badge and a couple of others from a antiques shop, they were just on a tray.
I don't think it's any good, lack of sweat hole etc, but just making sure from you good people please.
Thank you for your time

Chris

The guy said he knows nothing about badges, they just came with a job lot of things
Do you think it's a good one?, Pay £10 for it?
I don't want to be a tenner out of pocket if it's fake.

What is it that puts you in two minds about this badge?
Do others think it might be a genuine badge?
I know you said you'd buy it, but I would like to be 100% certain, a tenner is a tenner towards a genuine badge.
Cheers
Chris

I would also buy it for a tenner. The feathers are not the type usually seen on fakes. The brazing of the scroll looks good as does the slider.

Not all genuine badges have sweatholes behind the coronet. Genuine Pembrokeshire badges which have a guilding metal scroll as well as a coronet are found without sweatholes.

Ultimately the choice to buy is yours, it is not a huge loss at a tenner and if as myself and others believe, it is genuine, then it is worth £30 at least.

Jack.

As always, mine is only an opinion and as others have the opposite opinion it may be that they are right. Usually we all agree so there is definately hope in this case.

From my point of view it's worth a punt as:

It not from the usual fake feathers die.
The w/m scroll looks good
The overall patima
The slider shape

are look like it has a stong chance of being original.
