I am not comfortable at all with the WW2 KDG. The slider, wonky crown and tone of metal are not what I would like to see. I am sure others will be able to confirm if bad or not.
The others look good, in particular the 3DG, which is a very fine example as mentioned.

Thank you C.B. If there are any that are not good, I can return them for exchange. Which makes a change from how I was buying them and ultimately getting stuck with them before. So any comments from all you experienced collectors is most welcome.
Regards, Jim.

The gilding metal WW2 badges were quite distinctive with what I would describe as a pointy crown. The others look OK.

I thought it was a rather odd example when I looked at the photographs.

Mine is here for comparison. There were later ones with a round topped 3 and a variation in plume design. Yours is right for a badge c.1900 period.

The ‘odd’ look is I think due to the ears used to tag the scroll on being visible from the front, giving the scroll a droopier look than normal.

As mentioned it’s 100% genuine. Perhaps just not what a purist would consider a perfect example.

I thought it odd simply because, at a glance, the plumes appear not to match the scroll and yes, not an example that I would want, although I am certainly not a purist!
