Guess Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve.
(Great cabinet of goodies you found there!)
Cheers Tony.

Default Mystery badge

It's the badge of the old London Division Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve. But I have no idea what it's actually on.

It's a lead test strike taken from a die.

Their usually done to check alignment of a die set in the press or as a counter sample sent to a customer for approval before either a production rum is started or the dies are hardened. (alterations can be more easily done in soft tool steel).
