Neil,the No Idea,is the wing fixed to the red backing ? What colour are the wings and canopy ?

Thanks for the confirming the duds and mike the red backing is loosely attached by the four threads it appears to be silver wire but some threads on the wings appear to have gilt applied.

I think the wings are highly likely to be KRRC for No1 dress. Certainly good for their age.

As you say the KC AAC cap badge with a slider is a fake. That pattern is fake pattern and a genuine WW2 KC AAC badge should have lugs not a slider.

no feedback I don't know enough about cloth to have an opinion
