Default 2nd/1st Leic Yeo Bronzed Cap Badge, WW1.

Hi All

Picked up this little gem yesterday. Very rare to find fully "bronzed". These are often confused as Officers badges..... but they are not. You will see senior NCOs wearing them. Officers had their own pattern. First issued 1916.... obsolete 1922. This particular issue was used in the 2nd/1st Leics Yeo on the home front.

This type will be found looped N/S only. To date I have not seen one with a slider ..... and I have been looking for a long time. Its been converted to a pin & clasp for use on the suit lapel.
