Default SAS wings

Recent acquisition is this pair of wings. I did ask forum members on behalf of previous owner as to what the tropical issue was and l think it came back as Rhodesian but cannot find the thread. The other wing l have no idea as to period so any help gratefully received.

Default Wings

The wings on green denim are indeed Rhodesian, off the combat uniform. Worn on the right shoulder, or as an award on the left chest as W.O.C. ( wings on chest) after the WW2 style.
Very nice.

Regarding the other pair, they dont look like WW2 style wings, but depending on construction prob 1960's. If silk they could be officers private purchase, if cotton then issued.
WW2 wings usually have a black line down the centre of the parachute canopy. There are other markers such as straightness, the white lines across the top of the wings etc.
By the 1980's the thread was thin machine stitched nylon.
There were a few VERY distinctive variants such as those from Australia, NZ and Rhodesia, as well as the hand made thick Malayan "Moth" wings and the numbered wings with initials on the back. 21 and 23 opted to wear distinguishing private purchase wings for some time too.
