Interesting question, but it seems that there are no other opinions ... ?
I have very small experience, but i also like the one with long slider (tapered ?) and the visible crimp mark.
The one with lugs ... the patina looks a little bit artificial on the pictures and the lugs have a light reddish colour ... i would have doubts but like I said, just a gut feeling. There is also a small die flaw between the Crown and the tire.

I have non of the batallions badges, but two for the Cyclist Corps. They were worn (so far i know) from 1914-1920 and are not so rare, but for sure heavy faked.
Are they genuine from the period ? I have a good felling with right one with the long, tapered slider. Also found badges made from this die in the albums.
May be someone can give a further expertise on our badges, that would be very helpfull.

Kind regards
Markus
