Default Badge Experts and Identification Scots Guards

I would first like to thank for their help in this matter, Gerard McEwan ( Scottish Police Medals ) and Forum member Fwhittle.
I have always known that the badge shown, was not Scots Guards ! This badge had been identified 3 fold.
A Scots Guards badge.
A Sgt's badge.
And a FSH pagri badge.
The badge has been sold by Regimentals for £250 ! And by C & T Auctions for £220 ! And of course identified incorrectly. I have emailed these two, and had one reply. The reply was from C & T Auctions, telling me their badge expert was Geoff Newman. I have emailed Geoff to ask how and why he came to the decision what this badge was and who it was too. Ive had no reply. He could be away somewhere, and of course got this info from someone else.
I have been searching for years to find out about this badge/badges, as there is a flattop crown version ( Victorian ) that has been sold too at a ridiculous price. Forum member Fwittle told me it could be a Prison Service badge. So the search went on. I needed hard evidence, so again the search went on. I emailed a Police Medal collector/researcher who, sent me this. Shown below. The page is from a book " Badges of Office ", the badge is bottom right.
So we now Know that this badge has nothing to do with the Scots Guards whatsoever, let alone a Sgt's badge or a pagri badge.
Thanks
Andy
