I posted a "thanks" for that info along with a query re. a green "beret" I showed photos of - it's disappeared, don't know where I sent that, I'll try again.
Could this caubeen like item be a 1950 pattern WRAC beret? It lacks the black ribbon headband mentioned in the attachment.
I've never worked out what it is, WRAC, WVS, a nursing service headgear or something else?
