According to Smylie in
Buttons of the Canadian Militia this button was used by the unit from 1907 to 1939.
The 15th Light Horse was formed in 1905.
It was renamed the 15th Canadian Light Horse in 1920.
It was amalgamated with the South Alberta Horse to form the 15th Alberta Light Horse in 1936.
It was renamed the South Alberta Light Horse in 1954. New buttons were adopted by the SALH that year.
Unfortunately I have no idea as to the rarity or value of the button you have.
