A terrible loss.
Dave helped me out a lot when I started collecting, and I always appreciated his no-nonsense manner.
He also helped me with information whilst I was researching my family's roots in Staffs. We even talked of meeting up when I went over. Sadly I never got to.
I have several of his repairs in my collection - first class work.
My deepest sympathies to his wife and family, and thanks to Andy for passing on our condolences.
