If you go by Peter Taylor's book it only shows the one design of both cap and beret badge, which are the aa version of the brass badges. During the 1970's the design was changed and both badges became more plain and both had an aditional wheel. There is an old pattern cap badge with the additional wheel which was sold by the Royal Artillery Association shop, it has lugs on the back.
