Default The Charge at Beersheba

Hello All,

Being an ex Cavalry man, I thought I'd post about an important event in Australian Military History - the charge at Beersheba on 31st October, 1917.

Today is the 98th anniversary of the charge!

At Beersheba the 4th Light Horse Brigade's bold charge against Turkish positions at Beersheba, seized a critical wells that enabled British empire forces to break the Ottoman line near Gaza and advance into Palestine.

More info here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle...ersheba_(1917)

None of this Halloween nonsense today - it's Beersheba Day (and celebrated as such by the Royal Australian Armoured Corps)!

Have attached pics of the charge (most likely a re-enactment in early 1918) and pics of some unofficial badges for by the 4th and 12th Light Horse Regiments.

Charge!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mick
