I collect modern scottish militaria, so I don't know if my knowledege are right if applied to WWI period.
Pipers of all regiments wear plain glengarry.
- Black Watch: dark blue plain glengarry without silk ribbon under the badge, red torie;
- Argyll & Sutherland Hldrs: checkered dark blue glengarry, red and white, red torie
- Cameron Hldrs: dark blue plain glengarry; red torie;
- Seaforth Hldrs: chekered dark blue glengarry in red, white and blue; red torie;
- Gordon Hldrs: chekered dark blue glengarry in red, white and blue; red torie;
- King's Own Scottish Borderers: chekered dark blue glengarry in red, white and blue; red torie;
- Royal Scots: chekered dark blue glengarry in red, white and blue; red torie;
- Highland Light Infantry: rifle green plain glengarry; black torie;

This is my knowledge, but I could be wrong.
