Die struck badge with blades, die struck badge with lugs.
I picked up quite a few RUC cap and collar badges in 'Derry and Strabane during the early / mid 70's but gave nearly all of them away.
Some were on cloth backings, others on grained red flexible "leather look" plastic a deeper shade than the cloth.
I think it was only the anod al badges I saw with the plastic backings.
I have one or two RUC caps but not to hand and I don't remember which type of badge / backing they have.
