Thanks for the information (as a consequence I will remove the RE badge from
Infantry Volunteers Middlesex - London).
The conversion to 32nd (7th City of London) Ant-Aircraft Battalion, Royal Engineers (TA) was in 1935 (when my information is correct). These RE A-A Battalions had a searchlight function.
In 1940 taken over by the RA and became: 32nd (7th City of London) Searchlight Regiment, Royal Artillery.
