In the HG second phase, 1950's as indicated with the threat from Russia it was felt reinstating the HG was a good idea. Unfortunately, it did not get the participation as was seen in WW2.

There were changes to their badges in the second phase, primarily that the shoulder title and county plus number were in white on red. The county number patch had a rubbery like backing. and the text was very much like a sprayed on slightly fuzzy style, not embroidered.


Also, not all of the units that had a unique badge in WW2 continued to use the unique badge and just adopted the local regular army units badge.
