The latest ediiton of the Journal of the Military Heraldry Society has just been published.
Articles include a look at the uniforms and insignia of Scripture Readers serving with the Royal Navy and Army, the unofficial cloth cap badge worn by 6th Battalion, The Lincolnshire Regiment and the glider badge of WW2 which was later authorsied as a battle honour badge.
It also includes contemporary evidence of the use of the BLAV title by volunteers from South America and describes the insignia worn by volunteer drivers for the Royal Navy in WW2. There is the usual coverage of newly-introduced signs and of mystery signs requiring identification.
