Yes, Peter..most IA badges/patches are more or less similar to British army, though in the Indian Volunteer Force badgees there are some unique ones in keeping with local Indian themes..

By WW2 though even the IA seems to have begun sprouting some patches though not as much as their British counterparts..i guess that was because of the massive increase in numbers, units and subunits so some kind of identifying marks were needed, i guess.

The badge does have an 'Indian' look to it so would be nice to know..have asked Ashok Nath..let's see if he can help..
