If the blue peak came to you as part of a grouping then I feel that you should hang on to it, keep it together?
It's an Army Cadet Force item, worn by Cadets of many different regiments by the look of it.
I don't remember reading of it in "British Army Uniforms and Equipment of WWII" by Brian Lee Davis, I'll dig the book out.
