ss Mendi memorial
Thank you, that is absolutely super, and I now know what to do.
I am co-founder of a local historical society, and my colleauge, when talking to a Royal British Legion man was informed there is no mark of remembrance placed on the memorial for the men of South Africa who lost thier lives when the ss Mendi went down off the Isle of Wight in 1917. I can assure you that as from this year there will be, and I am glad I have had a part in that - due to your help. My sincere thanks.
I will post a photograph of it next November.
