Anodised crossed flags were worn back in the day on No3 and No 6 Dress (Warm Climate / Tropical Dress) as follows:
Gold Anodised - All Regiments and Corps other than:
Silver Anodised - Light Infantry
Black Anodised - Rifle Regiments i.e. Royal Green Jackets, Gurkhas
JSP768 2001 shows a Blackened Gilding Metal version but I suspect it should be black anodised and anyway is probably obsolete.
