Marc, you're right. My error. If it is meant to be a WW2 patch I can assure you it is not, and that it is a very modern made patch. First off, no WW2 patch had a merrowed edge that I know of, except for one - the 501st Parachute Regimental patch.
The weave of the blue body is way off for WW2. I would not be surprised if the back was not plastic coated, which was never done in WW2.
